My Art classes are design to help students think outside the box, to draw their own conclusions about how something is accomplished based on their own life experiences. This starts with Art I students and continues on through AP Studio Art students. AP Studio Art are college level classes sponsored by the College Board and students may earn college credit for their art.
Each class will have it's own syllabus and supply list. I have tried to make it easier on parents to save them time and money of not having to run all over the place looking for art supplies but having an art fee for each class. Parents can pay the fee and all supplies will be provided for their students. I encourage doing the fee mainly because of a lack of personal storage space in the art room. If the fee or the supplies are an issue, please contact me and we can work it out. No student will be denied the wonderful experience of art in my class due to a lack of supplies.
About Mrs. Musick
I graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1984 with a B.F.A and a minor in education. I moved to Texas in 1985 and began my teaching career in Dallas at Stockard Middle School. After Dallas, I then taught middle school in The Colony. I came to Sanger in 2002 to teach high school and have been here since then. I graduated from TWU in 2009 with a Master's of Art, Art Education. I thoroughly enjoy helping people to learn about their creative side and how to express it visually in an artistic form.
As for my art...I am a member of the National Art Education Association (NAEA), Texas Art Education Association (TAEA), Visual Arts Society of Texas (VAST) and both the national and local chapters of Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA). I am mostly a painter and use colored pencils as a painting medium. I have also won numerous awards for my work. Besides colored pencil, I paint with acrylic, watercolor, gouache and enjoy mixed-media.
